UAE Aluminium Recycling Expansion: Questions for Profile Fabricators

Emirates Global Aluminium announced the inauguration of its Al Taweelah aluminium recycling plant on 24 June 2026. EGA reported a production capacity of 185,000 tonnes per year and said the facility would process scrap into billets and T-bars. This is a stated capacity, not a claim about current annual output.

For aluminum fabricators in the Middle East, the announcement highlights a development in the regional materials supply chain. It does not establish the recycled content of any individual profile or determine which cutting machine a workshop should buy. Those questions require information about the actual material and production task.

Keep material documentation with the purchase specification

When ordering profiles, ask the material supplier to identify the alloy, temper, dimensions and finish. Where recycled-content information is required by a customer, request supporting documentation for the supplied material rather than drawing a conclusion from a general industry announcement.

The same discipline helps when preparing a machinery enquiry. Share the profile drawing and describe the finished component. The label “aluminum profile” alone does not tell an equipment supplier its shape, wall thickness or required cutting angle.

Compare the complete processing task

A workshop may need straight and miter cuts, copy milling for hardware openings, or profile bending. Review each operation separately. A saw’s cutting-capacity table does not describe a milling machine’s routing range or a bending machine’s tooling requirements.

For a saw quotation, provide the full profile cross-section, required angles and expected workload. Confirm the blade and clamping arrangement proposed for the application. For milling or bending, include the required hole pattern or finished curve and ask the supplier to review it against the selected configuration.

Make the quotation reviewable

Ask for a clear distinction between standard equipment and optional items. Record the motor supply, tooling, accessories, packing dimensions and after-sales terms in the quotation. These details allow buyers to compare offers even when product names and headline descriptions differ.
